The IEEE Computer Society is the world's leading organization of computer professionals. Since its founding more than forty years ago, the Computer Society has grown into the largest of the 35 societies organized under the umbrella of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The society offers its 100,000 members the most comprehensive program of publications, meetings, and technical and educational activities available for computer scientists and engineers. The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the largest and oldest educational and scientific organization in the information technology field today.
